Deadly Crash on I-70 Started With Gun Battle

St. Louis (KMOX) St Louis Police say a running gun battle between 2 vehicles lead to a fatal crash around 3 this (Sunday) morning in north St Louis.
One of the vehicles-traveling at a high rate of speed-slid sideways-hit several fixed objects. 2 of the 3 occupants of the Chevy Camaro were ejected when the vehicle rolled over near I-70 and Goodfellow.
One victim was pronounced dead on the scene. The other 2 were taken to the hospital. One is listed in serious but stable condition–the other is listed as stable.
An assault rifle was recovered nearby on the interstate. Police are still looking for the other vehicle involved.
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – St. Louis police are investigating to determine if a shooting incident Sunday morning lead to a deadly accident that forced the closing of a section of interstate for hours.
Police say there were reports of shots being fired before the accident at I-70 and Goodfellow around 3 a.m. But police say they’re not sure if the incidents are related.
Police say the driver tried to get onto the highway at Goodfellow. The car hit a guard rail, a light pole and overturned. The driver was ejected.
Two other men were in the car. One is reported in critical but stable condition. The other suffered non-life threatening injuries.
