ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The 2014 Winter Olympics hockey tournament in Sochi, Russia may feature a few St. Louis Blues players.

Several national teams released their training camp invitees on Monday, including the United States, Canada, and Russia.

Blues players vying for a spot on Team USA include defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk and forwards David Backes and T. J. Oshie. The Colorado Avalanche’s Paul Stastny (St. Louis native) also has a shot at making the roster.

Team Canada, with Blues coach Ken Hitchcock serving as an assistant coach, will take a look at St. Louis defensemen Jay Bouwmeester and Alex Pietrangelo.

Team Russia has invited Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko to compete for a roster spot.
