Wildwood Woman Sentenced For Child Endangerment

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOX) – The Wildwood woman who admitted to leaving her newborn child under a tree in February of last year, was sentenced Thursday.

Kaitlin Norton was sentenced to five years of probation, 500 hours of community service and completion of several treatment programs. She pleaded guilty in May to one count of felony child endangerment.

Norton was 19 when she gave birth in her boyfriend’s basement, then wrapped the baby in a blanket and left it outside a home in the 100 block of Westridge Park in Ellisville.
