Financial Issues May End Washington Park Police

WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. (KMOX) – Financial issues may spell the end of the Washington Park Police Department.

Police Chief Aubrey Keller recommended the move in hopes to save the village money and Mayor Ann Rogers says it is being considered.

The cash-strapped village has a mutual aid agreement with Illinois State Police and other local police departments. Those departments would help keep the peace in Washington Park if its police department is disbanded.
