ATLANTA (KMOX) - Outfielder Matt Holliday is eligible to play in Saturday afternoon’s game against the Atlanta Braves, after being activated from the 15-day disabled list.

Outfielder Brock Peterson has been optioned to AAA Memphis.

Holliday was placed on the disabled list on July 20, retroactive to July 12, with a strained right hamstring. He came out of the game with the injury on July 12 at Chicago Cubs after running out a ball to first base.

Peterson was purchased from Memphis on July 20, and made his Major League debut that night vs. San Diego, picking up his first RBI with a ground out. He collected his first Major League hit on July 24 vs. Philadelphia off Jake Diekman.
