ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The Riverview Gardens school board has decided on the Kirkwood School District as it’s second choice to send transfer students.
Originally, the district selected Mehlville but that district says it has room for only about 150 students. More than 400 Riverview Gardens students have requested transfer.
On the Kirkwood School District’s website, Superintendent Tom Williams wrote that he believes there would be room for 100 transfer students from Riverview Gardens.
He also said no transfer students will be placed in classrooms that are full and the district would avoid adding classrooms and staff.
