Teen Charged After Vandalizing Military Plane at Florissant Park

FLORISSANT, Mo. (KMOX) — A Florissant teen is charged after he allegedly heaved two Molotov cocktails at a fighter jet on display in a public park.

Eighteen year old Alexander Wright faces four felony counts in connection with the gasoline bombing of a 1950s era fighter jet at Eagan Park in Florissant.

Wright admitted to making and throwing the bottle-based weapon on two separate occasions in May 2012.

“There is nothing symbolic about the target he picked as far as we can tell, and according to him,” Prosecutor Bob McCulloch told KMOX. “Just an antisocial act of vandalism.”

Wright’s bail was set at $40,000. If convicted on all four counts, he faces up to 22 years in prison.
