Jefferson City , MO. (KMOX) – Missourians are invited to go on a Bison hike.
It’s an event to celebrate the state’s distinction as “Best Trails State.” You’ll hike for at least two miles at Prairie State Park. Thats in West Central Missouri near the Kansas border.
A park naturalist will discuss bison biology, Native American uses of bison, herd dynamics and prairies.
The Bison Hike will take place Saturday August 10th at 10 A.M. Park officials suggest you wear long pants, sturdy shoes and insect repellant.
