Gas Station Owner Killed in Robbery

BELLEFONTAINE NEIGHBORS, Mo. (KMOX) – The Major Case Squad says a well-liked north St. Louis County gas station owner is dead following an armed robbery at his business.

Deputy commander Sean Fagan says one of 63-year-old Irshad Kahn’s regular customers noticed something was wrong at the Conoco station on Bellefontaine Road, just before 9:30 Saturday night.

“When they were unable to locate him to make a purchase, they called the Bellefontaine Police Department. Officers showed up, and that’s when they found the owner in his office, shot and killed there,” Fagan explains.

Captain Fagan says an undisclosed amount of money was taken.

A team of 18 investigators is looking at surveillance video (featured below) and has a person of interest it’s attempting to locate.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Major Case Squad at 314-315-2037.
