ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — The Rams stadium situation may have St. Louis fans nervous, or angry, but it is actually helping the value of the franchise.
According to Forbes Magazine, the fact the Rams can break their lease at the Edward Jones Dome in 2015 helped increase their value a league leading 12 percent in the last year.
Webster University Sports Economist Patrick Rishe told KMOX whether the Rams move or stay they’re looking at a win win situation.
“They’re only going to stay because significant upgrades have been made to the dome,” said Rishe. “The hope is that those upgrades are going to increase the revenue generating ability for the team which will boost their value.”
At $875 million the Rams still rank 29th in the 32 team league. The Cowboys are the most valuable at $2.3 billion.
