ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A bit of the St. Louis Cardinals’ future could be on display this weekend in Chicago.

The club announced Thursday night that second base prospect Kolten Wong is being called up for Friday afternoon’s game with the Cubs. Outfielder Adron Chambers is being sent down to Memphis in exchange.

The 22-year-old has hit .303 for Memphis in 107 games of AAA ball. His 125 hits are 9th most in the Pacific Coast League.

A first-round selection in the 2011 draft (22nd overall), Wonf will wear jersey #16 for the Cardinals.
