3 Killed in Wildwood Traffic Crash

WILDWOOD, Mo. (AP) — Three young people are dead and one injured after a convertible slammed into a deck and a tree in the St. Louis County town of Wildwood.

The accident happened Thursday night. Authorities say all of the victims were in their late teens or early 20s.

Police say the car ran off Homestead Manor Drive and hit a deck on the back of a house, then went into a wooded area and hit a tree. Two victims died in the car. The third died in a helicopter as it was en route to a hospital.

An investigation continues into the cause of the wreck. Names have not been released.
