Ellisville Police Search For Suspicious Vehicle

ELLISVILLE, Mo. (KMOX) – Ellisville police are looking for the driver of a white van who reportedly tried to coax a ten-year-old girl to get in last week.

Ellisville Police Chief Thomas Felgate says the woman told the girl her mother wanted her to get a ride to school last Monday.

“The little girl, in her mind, she knew her mother was in the house and that was not true and, at that point, ran to the house to tell her mother,” Felgate explains.

When police arrived, the van was gone.

There was a second incident Saturday with a white van or SUV, possibly the same vehicle. Two 13-year-old boys say a woman behind the wheel pulled over and asked them if they knew anything about reports of a suspicious vehicle in the area.

“Obviously, we saturated the area with patrol and it’s unfortunate but a lot of folks are getting stopped, you know, just to see if we have a description matching,” Felgate says.

Anyone with information is asked to call Ellisville police.
