ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — An eyesore! That’s how State Senator Jamilah Nasheed describes the 20th Ward in St. Louis.
She took a tour Thursday of most of the wards in her 5th senate district. Her purpose was to gather ammo to take to Jefferson City where she will fight to preserve tax credits for low income people and property owners with historic buildings.
But when she got to the 20th ward she said it touched all her emotions.
“These streets, the alleys, they were all trashed,” she told reporters.
