Water Main Break Near SLU Impacts Hundreds

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — Hundreds of St. Louis University students woke up with no water Friday morning after a water main break on the campus.

The break in a 20 inch main flooded the Chaifetz Arena parking lot and cut off water to the two Marchetti Towers at Grand and Lacelde and the Grand Forest Apartments, which are the low rise buildings just west of Chaifetz.

A University spokeswoman said that means 350 to 400 students are without water.

Arrangements have been made so the students can get cleaned up for class

No water made it into the Chaifetz arena.

Officials hope to have service restored by noon Friday.
