PITTSBURGH (KMOX) – It’s September, and that means Major League Baseball teams may expand their rosters.

The Cardinals announced Sunday that they are recalling outfielder Adron Chamber from AAA Memphis and catcher Tony Cruz from the 15-day disabled list.

The 26-year-old Chambers had a prior stint with the Cardinals this season, appearing in 11 games (.167 BA; 2-for-12 with 1 RBI).

The 27-year-old Cruz had appeared in 40 games this season before going on the D.L. on August 15. He was batting .212 with one home run and 11 RBI, but carries a .375 mark (9-for-24) with runners in scoring position.
