ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -It’s Blazek for Axford.

The Cardinals announced Sunday that they are sending right-handed pitcher Michael Blazek to Milwaukee as the “player to be named later” in the John Axford trade.

The Cards acquired the right-handed reliever on Friday.

Milwaukee had placed a waiver claim on Blazek, who was 0-0 with a 6.97 ERA in 11 relief appearances for St. Louis this season.
