Belleville Man Admits Having Child Porn

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (AP) — A southwestern Illinois man faces up to a decade in federal prison now that he’s admitted having more than 130 sexually explicit images of children on his computer.

Thirty-year-old Terel Noble of Belleville pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in East St. Louis to charges of possession of child pornography.

Police began investigating Noble in December 2011 after someone reported having seen images of a partly nude underage girl on the man’s computer. Investigators later seized the computer.

Noble also faces up to $250,000 in fines and a requirement that he register as a sex offender when he’s sentenced Dec. 20.
