EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) — A southwestern Illinois woman is facing a felony count after being arrested for drunken driving for the fourth time in three years.

Authorities arrested 20-year-old Patsy Runyons of East Alton early Friday after a wrecked car was found in Godfrey. Deputies say the driver had fled on foot, but Runyons was found a short time later and identified as the motorist.

Investigators say Runyon was treated at a hospital, submitted to blood-alcohol testing and was jailed before being charged with aggravated driving under the influence.

The (Alton) Telegraph reports Runyons has been convicted of DUI-related offenses in June 2010, November of last year and then a month later.

Runyons does not have a listed home telephone number, and online court records don’t show whether she has an attorney.
