Registered Sex Offender Charged with Raping Young Teen

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOX) – A St. Charles man, who prosecutors say is a registered sex offender, is charged with drugging a young teenage girl, sexually assaulting her and then taking photos of her with his cell phone.

47-year-old William Wilburn is charged with statutory rape, statutory sodomy and enticement of a child.

Prosecutors in St. Charles County allege Wilburn met the girl online, met her in person near her home in St. Louis County and took her to an apartment on Cole Boulevard. That is where he allegedly injected her with an unknown drug and sexually assaulted her.

Officials say Wilburn was identified by the girl in a photo lineup and through court ordered telephone records.

Prosecutors say this may not be the only rape case involving Wilburn and they are asking anyone with information about other possible crimes to contact St. Charles City Police.
