Great Forest Park Balloon Race

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Some 60,000 people are expected to converge on Forst Park Saturday for the 41st Annual Great Forest Park Balloon Race.

There will be additional police officers on duty and St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson says their jobs are many.

Chief Dotson says there will be added officers, both uniformed and in plainclothes, for crowd and traffic control and to look out for car burglars.

Chief Dotson reminds those with conceal carry permits to leave the guns at home, don’t even lock them in the trunk. They are a prime target of car burglars.
