Teen Charged With Shooting Near Vashon High School

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – Charges have now been filed by prosecutors in connection with Wednesday’s shooting near Vashon High School.

17-year-old Lamarco Love was charged with two counts of first degree Assault and two counts of Armed Criminal Action.

Police originally were talking with Love and another teen, but only Love was charged.

Police say Love was with two others who approached another group of teens. The two groups had been arguing and when the victim and his group turned away police say Love fired several shots striking one of them in the back.

He remains in stable condition. Police still maintain the ongoing feud was not gang related.
