Two Drownings on Missouri Lakes

St. Louis (KMOX) A High Ridge man is dead following a boating accident last (Friday) night on the Lake of the Ozarks.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says 61 year old James J. Koch died after his 2004 twenty-seven foot Chaparral boat struck a fixed object while traveling upstream.

Meanwhile-yesterday (Friday) afternoon on Mark Twain Lake-a 35 year old Springfield Illinois man drowned after falling overboard.

Authorities say Nathan Hoffman fell from the boat’s rear platform while the boat was tied to a tree. An autopsy will be performed.
