ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Police confirm the body found Saturday in north St. Louis was that of a teen reported missing one day earlier.
Officers say 16-year-old Chauncey Brown died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Another 16-year-old male is in custody, and police say the car allegedly used in the “drive-by” shooting has been recovered.
Chauncey Brown and two other males were last seen leaving a party at Club 187, early Friday.
Investigators say the three apparently were confronted with a gun and scattered, before a car tried to run them down and shots were fired.

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A search for a missing teenager in north St. Louis turns up a body.
Police say the body of a teenager was found in the 4700 block of Cote Brilliante, after officers got a call of a teen missing near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Marcus Avenue.
The victim was found in a backyard behind brush.
Police are trying to identify the victim.
