JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) - Open Door Animal Sanctuary is offering a $1,000 reward to the first person who comes forward with information regarding the shooting of 4 month old lab mix puppy found dragging himself along highway 30 last Wednesday.

The puppy, named Dodger, was shot in close range by a pellet gun and the shooting is suspected to be intentional.

Anyone with information is asked to please call Open Door Animal Sanctuary at 314-709-2025.

Update on Dodger

The sanctuary says Dodger is doing well, and his surgery was a success. They say he isn’t able to walk yet, but he is starting to put pressure on his back legs. Watch a video of his recovery HERE
