2 Pedestrians Killed in Separate North Side Incidents

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Two pedestrians were killed in separate incidents Tuesday night.

Both incidents occurred on the city’s north side.

The first was just before 10 p.m. Tuesday when a victim was hit while crossing eastbound I-70 at Salisbury Street. Accident reconstruction crews closed the interstate for several hours.

The driver continued on a short way but police found him parked near the next exit, walking around in a daze as if in shock. He has not been charged.

The second incident occurred at Natural Bridge Avenue and North Kingshighway Boulevard around midnight. A 60-year-old man was walking in the middle of the road when he was hit by two cars and died on the scene. Charges were not filed against either driver in that incident.

The victims’ names have not been released pending notification of family members.

Also Tuesday night, in Florissant, a father and his eight-year-old daughter were struck by a vehicle around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Flordawn Drive and Howdershell Road. Both victims were transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
