Overnight America: Jon Grayson’s Biography
Jon Grayson has been at the helm of Overnight America since its inception in 2008. His radio career began in the Tampa Bay area at age 19 and Jon is one of the rare breed who never worked in any radio format other than talk. In his early work life, Jon was lucky enough to work as a producer with some outstanding talents in the industry who helped shape and influence his on-air style including Jay Marvin, Lionel, Bob Lassiter and many others. Jon’s first stint as a regular, weekday host came at Nashville’s WWTN-FM where his show enjoyed popular and critical praise and won him a Scripps-Howard award for radio journalism. From there Jon joined the team at KMOX-St. Louis, the broadcasting home-base of Overnight America.
Jon Grayson is a native of Buffalo, New York and split time during his formative years between there and Tampa, FL. where he graduated from Seminole High School before attending the University of South Florida. Jon met his wife Jennifer in high school and the two were married in 2009. They are the proud parents of four wonderful sons. In their spare time Jon and Jen attend as many rock concerts as they can, care for their many dogs, cats, and other beasts, indulge their inner foodies and take in the occasional film. Jon is also a car buff and is currently involved in a years-long project to restore a 1958 Plymouth Belvedere.
