ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Friday night’s 13-inning marathon National League Championship Series Game 1 between the Cardinals and Dodgers kept smartphone users at Busch Stadium busy.

“Folks used over 183 gigabytes of data during the game. They made more than 15,000 voice calls and sent more than 80,000 text messages,” said Katie Nagus with AT&T, which has an in-stadium wireless network.

She said the 183 gigabytes of data used was a 2013 season record at Busch. It was an increase of more than 28% over Wednesday night’s NLDS clinching game against Pittsburgh.

AT&T installed its distributed antenna system at the ballpark in April 2012.
