ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The Cardinals announced in a pregame news conference Saturday morning that Friday night’s NLCS Game One winner in relief will be the Game Four starter.

Lance Lynn says he hadn’t been on the mound in more than a week, prior to the relief stint, “I’m actually glad that I was able to get into that game situation and get going. I think it’ll help me going forward into starting Game Four.”

Lynn told reporters he knew Friday there was a chance he’d be named Game 4 starter.

Michael Wacha gets the start for St. Louis in Game 2, Saturday afternoon.

Adam Wainwright will pitch in Game 3 at Los Angeles.
