ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The Missouri Botanical Garden has announced the Corpse Flower has begun to bloom and the timing will likely eliminate a lot of public viewing.
Garden officials say it will continue to bloom throughout Thursday evening into Friday.
That will eliminate viewing in evening hours as the peak bloom and odor lasts about 24 hours.
It will maintain its full bloom for three to five days but without the intense foul smell that’s emitted. People can see the corpse flower beginning Friday at 9 a.m with regular admission.
