NEW YORK (KMOX) - The Missouri Tigers took a giant leap in this week’s Associated Press college football poll.

Last week’s 14th-ranked Tigers are now number five — behind Alabama, Oregon, Florida State, and Ohio State.

In the USA Today Coaches Poll, Mizzou is ranked seventh.

It’s Missouri’s highest ranking by the A.P. since 2007 and since 2010 for the coaches poll, according to the university.

The Tigers will face A.P. #20 South Carolina next Saturday in Columbia.
