UPDATE: Boy, 16, Fatally Shot While Waiting for School Bus

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – St. Louis Police are investigating a shooting Tuesday morning which left a teenage boy dead.

It happened around 7:25 a.m. in Barrett Brothers Park at St. Louis Avenue and Goodfellow Boulevard on the city’s north side.

Police say James Moore, 16, was waiting for a school bus going to Sumner High School when he was approached by an armed masked suspect.

The suspect shot the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene.

Officers questioned a woman and two men Tuesday afternoon. They were taken into custody after police say the SUV they were in matched the description of the vehicle wanted in the crime.

Reports also suggest the suspect was wearing a neon orange jacket.
