People Involved in Fatal I-55 Crash Identified

LITCHFIELD, IL. (KMOX) - Illinois State Police have identified those involved in this morning’s multiple-fatality accident on I-55 in Macoupin County Illinois.
A mother and two of her children were killed. They’ve been identified as 27 year old Alea Shannon, 8 year old Alfredo McGee Junior and 2 year old Armondo McGee. They are from central Illinois. A man and two other children were airlifted to hospitals. They are identified as the driver 31 year old Alfredo McGee of Decatur, six year old Annastashia McGee, and 5 year old Alicea McGee.
The driver of the van that hit them in the rear was not injured. That person has been identified as 26 year old Senad Hodzic of St. Louis. Police now say the car, a Chevy Impala that the two adults and four children were in, was sitting in the right lane with it’s lights off. Thats when the van rear-ended the car.
The car could have stalled in the right lane, but police are not speculating while the investigation continues.
