Suspect Sought in Downtown St. Charles Robbery

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOX) - St. Charles police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who allegedly robbed a woman of her wallet Tuesday night.

According to the victim, she had just parked her vehicle behind a building at 200 N. Main Street around 7:17 p.m. when the suspect demanded her purse and pushed her to the ground.

The suspect grabbed the woman’s purse and ran away on foot, according to police.

Police say the victim identified her attacker as a man who stood behind her while she bought cigarettes at a gas station shortly before the robbery. Surveillance video of the man has been released and an image of the suspect can be seen above.

The victim was not harmed during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s or 30s, stand six-feet tall with dreadlocks. At the time of the robbery the man was wearing a green sweatshirt and blue jeans.
