FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. (KMOX) – Police are still looking for the gunman who held up a convenience store in Fairview Heights early Saturday.

The man walked into the Motomart at 6114 N. Illinois St. around 4:30 am, displayed a black semi-automatic handgun, and demanded money from the register.

He took off with roughly $200 in cash after ordering a clerk and a customer to get on the ground.

Nobody was hurt during the hold-up.

The suspect’s described as a black male, approximately 5’7″, between 140-160 lbs. with a thin build, between 19 to 25 years old.

Any information on his whereabouts should be called in to Fairview Heights police.
