Store Employee Hurt During Strong Arm Robbery

POPLAR BLUFF, MO. (KMOX) – A WalMart employee who tried to stop an alleged shoplifter suffered injuries to his head and a foot.

Police have released a surveillance camera photo of the man who was taking merchandise out of the store at 300 South Westwood Boulevard in Poplar Bluff Wednesday.

After striking the employee , the suspect ran without the merchandise but police say the items were then picked up by bystander who left the store with the merchandise.
