St. Louis County Police Officer Injured in Wrong Way Crash

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A St. Louis County police officer is recovering from injuries suffered when hit by a wrong way driver overnight.

County police say the officer has been released from the hospital with minor injuries. Police say the wrong way driver caused four or five accidents on I-70 at Lucas and Hunt around midnight. There’s no report of injuries in any of those accidents.

The accidents forced the highway to be shut down in both directions for most of the night. The interstate is back open now.

Police are still looking for the driver.
