St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has activated forward Brenden Morrow from injured reserve. In addition, the Blues assigned forward Chris Porter to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, Chicago Wolves.

Morrow, 34, has dressed in nine games for the Blues this season posting three points (two goals, one assist) while serving 12 penalty minutes. Over his 14-year National Hockey League (NHL) career, the 6’0, 210-pound forward has appeared in 859 games accumulating 545 points (251 goals, 294 assists) to go along with 1,234 penalty minutes. The Carlyle, Saskatchewan native was originally signed by the Blues as a free agent on Sept. 23, 2013.

Porter, 29, appeared in two games with the Blues after being recalled on Oct. 31. This season with Chicago, he has dressed in seven games posting four assists and 15 penalty minutes. For his NHL career, the 6’1, 209-pound forward has appeared in 129 games, all with the Blues, recording 24 points (10 goals, 14 assists) and 27 penalty minutes. The Toronto, Ontario native was originally signed by the Blues as a free agent on Aug. 21, 2007.
