Water Main Break Restricts Access to Creve Coeur Park

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (KMOX) – The Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) is warning the public to stay away from an area near Creve Coeur Park in Maryland Heights due to a major water main break.

MSD spokesman Lance LeComb said the break Sunday night spilled raw sewage onto the road and into drainage ditches by the pumping station on Creve Coeur Mill Road.

The walking and bike paths near the southern portions of Creve Coeur Park does not have raw sewage on it, but because of its proximity LeComb said signs have been posted restricting access to the park in that area.

“We’re asking folks to honor that request to not use those paths and stay away from the area,” he said,

MSD does not know when repairs will be completed.
