Police Say Fenton Man Drowned After Night of Drinking

FENTON, Mo. (AP) – Police say a 22-year-old man whose body was found Thursday morning in a St. Louis County lake died of an accidental drowning after a night of heavy drinking.

David A. Thomas of Fenton died at the lake in the San Luis Trails subdivision after gathering there with friends Tuesday night.

A resident called police Thursday from an adjacent gas station to report a body floating in the lake.

An autopsy found no signs of foul play, and no criminal charges are expected.
