Alton Man Threatens to Have Parole Agent Killed

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) - A Madison County jail inmate faces a new charge, after he reportedly threatened to have his parole agent killed.
Twenty-nine-year-old Britt Lacey of Alton is charged with threatening a public official. The Madison County sheriff’s office says Lacey was booked into the jail this week on a charge of violating an order of protection.
When Lacey’s parole agent told him his parole was being revoked, Lacey reportedly began yelling at the agent and told the agent he was going to put a hit out.
Lacey’s bond is set at $100,000.
