ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) - Three people were injured Sunday night inside an apartment on the city’s south side, according to police.

Five people were inside the home in the 4900 block of Lindenwood including, a four-year-old boy and a pregnant woman, when several suspects forced their way in through a rear stairwell door.

According to a release, police say the suspects wearing black hoodies approached the pregnant 28-year-old and demanded to know “where the money was.” When she replied she didn’t know, the suspects kicked her in her stomach.

The suspects then asked another man in the home the same question. When he didn’t respond they cut him in the arm. A third man entered the back door of the apartment, but was chased down by the suspects and stabbed.

He was taken to a local hospital and listed as stable. No word on the condition of the other victims.

The suspects were last seen fleeing the scene east on Winona in an older red pickup truck, according to the release. There were 5-6 of them and they were approximately 20-25 years old.

The investigation is ongoing.
