Wrong Way Driver Charged in Head-On Crash

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A wrong way driver on I-64 who caused a fiery head-on crash has been charged.

26 year old Caitlin Dixson of St. Louis is charged with First Degree Involuntary Manslaughter.

She is being held on $100,000 cash-only bond. The crash happened last August 9th around 2 in the morning.

Police say Dixson entered the exit ramp at Chestnut and 20th and headed the wrong way (eastbound) on I-64.

At Jefferson, Dixson’s car ran head-on into another driven by 26 year old Ryan Roach of Glen Carbon. His car caught fire and Roach was pronounced dead on the scene.

Dixson was arrested at her home on North Taylor Friday.
