Blues Forward Ryan Reaves to Undergo Surgery Today on Right Hand

Reaves will be Placed on IR and Re-evaluated in Six Weeks

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today that forward Ryan Reaves will undergo surgery on his right hand this afternoon. The surgery will be performed by Dr. Charles Goldfarb at Washington University Orthopedics and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Reaves will be placed on injured reserve and re-evaluated in six weeks.

Reaves, 26, has dressed in all 22 games this season posting four points (two goals, two assists) while leading the team and ranking fourth league-wide with 65 penalty minutes.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba native was originally drafted by the Blues in the fifth round, 156th overall, of the 2005 Entry Draft.
