Private Firm Will Audit City of Ellisville

ELLISVILLE, Mo. (KMOX) – A private firm will soon be hired to audit the City of Ellisville.

Tuesday night the Ellisville City Council unanimously approved the audit requested by Mayor Adam Paul.

The request comes just weeks after the discovery that former City Manager Kevin Bookout’s computer was accessed and files deleted earlier this year.

Bookout was fired on October 28th, but is contesting his termination.

The mayor has directed the city’s Assistant City Manager to find three firms to conduct the audit, which is scheduled to begin before the end of the year.
