Beach Boys to Headline Belleville’s Bicentennial Celebrations

BELLEVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) – The band know for hits like, California Girl and Good Vibrations will join local musicians next year for the city of Belleville’s 200th anniversary weekend celebrations.

The Beach Boys, will be the headliner on Sept, 19th, Belleville 200, a committee organizing the city’s bicentennial celebrations announced.

Other Bicentennial events include a parade. Organizers are planning events throughout next year.  The main celebration will be held in conjunction with the city’s annual Oktoberfest.

The Confederate Railroad, a country music band, will perform Sept. 20. The Roots and Boots Tour featuring Sammy Kershaw, Darryl Worley and Aaron Tippin will also preform.

The Belleville 200 Committee has not announced the Sept. 21 headliner and other musical acts, including some bands from the metro east.
