BELLEVILLE, Ill. (AP) - A man convicted in the 2009 shooting deaths of three women at an East St. Louis convenience store has been ordered to spend more than five decades in prison.
Twenty-five-year-old Milton Lattimore Jr. of East St. Louis was sentenced Wednesday to 55 years on convictions of three first-degree murder counts.
Authorities allege Lattimore gunned down 24-year-old Jaimaca McDaniel, 26-year-old Tenikia Harvey and 26-year-old Raykel Gathing in November 2009 as they sat in a car with three children. The children weren’t injured.
Relatives say Lattimore was McDaniel’s ex-boyfriend. He was arrested the next day in St. Louis.
Lattimore had been jailed on $2 million bond since the shooting.
