Clayton Man’s Death Blamed on Hypothermia

CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) – The death of a suburban St. Louis man is being blamed on hypothermia following a fall in frigid weekend weather.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 55-year-old John Freskos of Clayton was found about 6:30 a.m. Saturday in a grassy area, about a mile from his home. Police say there were no visible signs of trauma.

The medical examiner ruled that Freskos apparently fell, badly injuring himself, and died of hypothermia.
