NEW YORK (KMOX) – It’s been quite a week for St. Louis Blues forward Chris Stewart.
On Monday, the NHL named Stewart the league’s First Star (aka player of the week) for the week.
Stewart led the NHL with six goals and added an assist as the Blues (24-7-4, 52 points) earned five out of a possible eight points to maintain second place in the Central Division.
The 26-year-old Toronto native logged his third career hat trick in a 6-0 win over Edmonton on December 21.
The NHL’s Second Star honors went to Pittsburgh center Sidney Crosby, while Colorado center Matt Duchesne earned the Third Star.
