8,000 Ameren Illinois Customers Without Power As Record Cold Temps. Freeze the Region

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, (KMOX) – Ameren Illinois says about 10,000 people are without power Monday morning as bitterly cold temperatures settle into the region.

The majority of those outages are in St. Clair County. Ameren reports that 5,861 customers are out of power in Fairview Heights, Caseyville, Cahokia and East St. Louis.

1,787 homes in Madison County are in the dark as of 9 a.m. Monday. The majority of those outages are in Granite City and Pontoon Beach.
